Tax Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable Tax Specialist who will be responsible for assisting clients with navigating their tax obligations. You will ensure all tax practices are compliant with the law and provide clients with strategic insights. This role requires excellent attention to detail and up-to-date knowledge of the South African tax system. You will also prepare tax documents, assist in audits, and develop effective tax strategies for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Oversee tax return preparation and ensure compliance with legislation.
• Implement and streamline tax practices within the organization.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their tax needs.
• Conduct research and analysis on complex tax matters affecting clients.
• Prepare and present tax reporting information to stakeholders.
• Ensure accuracy in all financial reporting related to taxes.
• Assist clients during tax audits and negotiate with tax authorities.
• Educate internal staff on tax-related matters and changes in tax law.
• Identify tax saving opportunities and propose solutions.
• Review transactions to identify potential tax implications.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CA or similar tax qualification is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in tax preparation and advisory roles

Languages
