We are looking for an enthusiastic Environmental Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in developing and implementing environmental protection measures, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and promoting sustainability in projects. You will work closely with a team of professionals dedicated to improving environmental health and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Assess project designs for environmental implications and suggest improvements.
• Conduct field surveys and data collection on environmental conditions.
• Prepare technical reports and documents for regulatory submissions.
• Liaise with clients to understand their environmental needs and objectives.
• Develop and implement environmental training programs for staff.
• Advise on proper waste disposal practices and strategies.
• Evaluate project sites for potential environmental risks.
• Assist in the development of environmental policies and procedures.
• Promote and design sustainable development practices in projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
• Master's in Environmental Engineering is an asset

Experience

• 5+ years in the environmental sector with project management experience
