Job Description

The Compressor Operator will be essential in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of compressor systems. The role involves monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting various compressor systems to uphold and enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Ensure systems operate efficiently and safely with minimal downtime.
• Work closely with the Operations team to align on production goals.
• Adhere strictly to company's health and safety regulations.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for operational efficiencies.

Requirements

Education

• National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
• Trade Certificate in Mechanical Engineering

Experience

• 2-3 years experience in compressor operations and maintenance

Technical Skills

• Experience with reciprocating compressors
• Ability to operate hand and power tools

Soft Skills

• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of safety regulations: Understanding of workplace safety regulations pertinent to compressor operations.
• Experience with monitoring software: Proficient in using software tools for monitoring compressor performance.
