Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Actuarial Scientist who will utilize advanced statistical techniques and data analysis to provide insights into our insurance processes. Your role will involve communicating findings to stakeholders and supporting strategic decision-making within the company.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data from various sources to assess underwriting risks and pricing adequacy.
• Provide insights into loss reserves and support financial forecasting efforts.
• Collaborate with IT to enhance data collection processes for analysis.
• Conduct research on emerging actuarial methodologies and data science trends.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and regulatory reports.
• Liaise with clients to provide statistical and actuarial support.
• Mentor junior analysts in understanding actuarial concepts and practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics
• Fellowship with an actuarial body, such as ASSA or equivalent
• Experience with predictive modeling tools like SAS or Stata

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in an actuarial capacity in the insurance industry
