DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in automating and improving our deployment and development processes, ensuring high availability and scalability of our applications in the cloud.

Responsibilities

• Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines for application deployments.
• Optimize the performance and reliability of cloud services.
• Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform or similar tools.
• Support development teams with infrastructure needs and best practices.
• Proactively monitor systems and resolve performance issues.
• Facilitate training sessions on DevOps practices for teams.
• Work closely with the security team to ensure secure deployments.
• Participate in architecture reviews to enhance system design.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Master's degree in Software Engineering or related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps methodologies

Certifications

• Google Professional DevOps Engineer
