Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Unit Forester to oversee and manage forestry operations within our assigned area. You will develop management plans, supervise workers, and ensure adherence to environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning of forest management strategies.
• Conduct health assessments of forests and report findings.
• Coordinate timber harvests and ensure quality control.
• Engage with stakeholders to optimize forestry practices.
• Provide training and support to forestry workers.
• Implement risk management strategies to protect forest resources.
• Review and manage project budgets effectively.
• Utilize GIS technology for forest mapping and analysis.
• Foster a culture of safety and compliance within the team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Natural Resources Management
• Postgraduate studies in Forestry are preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in a forestry role, including supervisory experience
