Job Description

We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing data solutions that support our analytical goals. You will work closely with data scientists and analysts to ensure the relevance and quality of our data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable ETL processes to facilitate data extraction from various sources.
• Work closely with data scientists to deliver the data required for analysis and model development.
• Ensure proper data management practices are maintained throughout the data lifecycle.
• Engage in regular code reviews to enhance and maintain code quality.
• Share knowledge and best practices with team members to foster personal and professional growth.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Master's degree in Data Science or related field is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of progressive experience in data technologies

Technical Skills

• Data warehousing

Certifications

• Certified Data Management Professional
• Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer

Languages

• English: Fluent
