Job Description

As a Public Health Analyst, you will be at the forefront of research and analysis to drive health initiatives in Johannesburg. Your role will involve evaluating health data and providing insights that shape public health strategies.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate public health data and identify emerging trends.
• Work alongside cross-functional teams to implement public health strategies.
• Document and present research findings to stakeholders and community leaders.
• Develop data-driven recommendations for improving health programs.
• Research and write proposals for funding health initiatives.
• Contribute to the design of surveys and research studies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or Epidemiology
• Master's degree in Public Health is highly regarded

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in public health analysis and research

Technical Skills

• Epidemiology Techniques
• GIS Mapping Tools

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Certified in Healthcare Privacy and Security (CHPS)
• Public Health Leadership Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with community engagement strategies: Proven ability to engage with diverse communities for health initiatives.
• Ability to speak an additional language: Ability to communicate in one or more South African languages is a plus.
