Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Underwriter to evaluate and assess risks for our clients. The ideal candidate will utilize analytical skills to determine policy terms and premiums, ensuring both profitability and compliance with underwriting standards. This role involves strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate insurance applications and assess risks based on established underwriting criteria.
• Determine policy terms, premiums, and necessary adjustments.
• Collaborate closely with sales teams to provide underwriting support and guidance.
• Review and analyze financial statements and account owner information.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards in all underwriting processes.
• Maintain detailed records of underwriting decisions and client communications.
• Assist in the development of underwriting guidelines and procedures.
• Provide training and support to junior underwriters as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or related field
• Advanced qualifications in underwriting preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in underwriting, risk assessment, or related fields
