Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled and compassionate Cattyman who will take charge of caring for our feline friends. This role involves ensuring their health, nutrition, and happiness through dedicated hands-on care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the well-being of cats through proper feeding, grooming, and care.
• Monitor and document cat health and behavior.
• Help prepare cats for adoption by providing socialization and training.
• Maintain cleanliness of cat areas, ensuring they are safe and welcoming.
• Support veterinary staff with routine exams and treatments.
• Engage with visitors, providing information about cats for adoption.
• Document and report any changes in behavior or health to supervisors.
• Participate in training sessions to improve animal care skills.
• Build relationships with clients to foster community engagement.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant qualifications in animal care are advantageous.

Experience

• Additional experience in a veterinary clinic or animal shelter preferred.

Technical Skills

• Animal behavior understanding
• Pet care management software

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of animal welfare regulations: Understanding of laws that protect animals.
• Experience in pet training: Experience conducting training sessions for cats.
