Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing security measures to protect our networks and data. You will monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents, and provide recommendations for improvement.

Responsibilities

• Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data and systems.
• Evaluate risk and provide recommendations for mitigating potential vulnerabilities.
• Design and conduct security awareness training for staff.
• Participate in security audits and assessments.
• Document security processes and incidents for compliance and review.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure secure coding practices.
• Respond to security breaches and incidents in a timely manner.
• Monitor network traffic for unusual activities and take appropriate actions.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Cybersecurity or related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles

Technical Skills

• Firewalls and VPNs
• Malware Analysis

Certifications

• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with SIEM Tools: Experience with Security Information and Event Management tools.
