Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our reputable firm in Johannesburg. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing budgets, and ensuring compliance with relevant legal and regulatory obligations. Responsibilities

• Prepare budgets and forecasts based on historical data.
• Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate audits.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with tax legislation and prepare compliance documents.
• Support cash management and working capital strategy.
• Analyze financial results, trends, and forecasts.
• Ensure quality and accuracy in all financial reporting.
• Coach team members on best accounting practices.
• Conduct financial scenario analyses.
• Contribute to the overall strategic planning process in finance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce or related field
• Master's degree in Accounting is an advantage

Experience

• 4+ years of accounting experience with a focus on audits and compliance

Certifications

• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
• CIMA Certification in Management Accounting

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Xero accounting software: Advanced skills in Xero for seamless financial transactions and reporting.
