IT Support Technician

Job Description

We're on the lookout for an IT Support Technician to join our Cape Town office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support, with experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues, installing and configuring systems, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service while resolving technical issues.
• Help ensure compliance with IT security and data protection standards.
• Assist other team members with complex technical problems.
• Create and maintain technical documentation related to IT systems.
• Participate in IT training and development activities.
• Support the IT team in achieving service level agreements (SLAs).

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in IT support roles

• Linux OS
• Virtualization Technologies

Certifications

• CompTIA Network+
• ITIL Foundation

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of database systems: Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with scripting languages: Basic knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
