Job Description

We are on the lookout for a detail-oriented Cybersecurity Analyst to join our dedicated team in Cape Town. The consultant will be pivotal in safeguarding sensitive data, implementing security measures, and managing security incidents. You will collaborate with IT departments to evaluate security protocols and develop strategies to mitigate risks. Your expertise will ensure that our company remains resilient against cyber threats.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and provide timely responses.
• Lead investigations of security incidents and vulnerabilities.
• Design and implement security policies and procedures.
• Assist in the development of disaster recovery plans.
• Stay updated on latest cybersecurity trends and threats.
• Coordinate with external vendors for security solutions.
• Conduct risk assessments and compliance validation.
• Prepare documentation regarding security incidents and remediations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications are a plus

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles

Technical Skills

• Security protocols

Certifications

• Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate
