Job Description

As a Registered Nurse with us, you will engage in providing comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population. Responsibilities include monitoring patient progress, developing care plans, and advocating for patient needs within the healthcare system.

Responsibilities

• Carry out skilled nursing tasks and procedures.
• Assess patient needs and respond with appropriate interventions.
• Educate patients on post-discharge care and follow-up.
• Identify changes in patient conditions and report them to the team.
• Cultivate strong relationships with patients through compassionate care.
• Lead patient care coordination efforts.
• Engage in community health initiatives as needed.
• Participate in training sessions and workshops.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatments.
• Ensure proper communication in patient handovers.
• Support and uphold ethical nursing practices.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Nursing or related field
• Experience in a specialist area such as ICU, ER, or pediatrics is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience

Certifications

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Certified Nurse Educator (CNE)

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Bilingual in Afrikaans is a plus: Ability to communicate in Afrikaans as well as English.
