Job Description

As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting learners with special needs. Your main responsibilities will include developing individualized education programs (IEPs), collaborating with fellow educators, and ensuring a supportive and adaptive learning environment for all students.

Responsibilities

• Design lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
• Implement interventions and modifications in classroom activities.
• Liaise with external professionals such as therapists and counsellors.
• Participate in training and development to enhance teaching practices.
• Organize and lead workshops and training for staff regarding special education.
• Foster a culture of respect, understanding, and empathy within the classroom.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Education, preferably with a focus on Special Needs
• Master's degree in Special Education is an asset

Experience

• 5+ years of teaching experience including special education
