Telecommunications Engineer

Job Description

We are searching for a Telecommunications Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining telecommunications systems. You will collaborate with network architects, engineers, and other technical staff to ensure smooth operation and integration of communication systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain telecommunication networks.
• Conduct performance analysis and network optimization.
• Support the installation of new telecommunications technologies.
• Develop contingency plans for network outages or failures.
• Create and maintain accurate technical documentation.
• Work closely with external vendors for equipment procurement.
• Provide technical support and training to users and team members.
• Ensure that all telecommunications equipment is functioning optimally.
• Implement security measures to safeguard telecommunications systems.
• Collaborate with IT personnel to support cloud-based telecommunication solutions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in telecommunications engineering
