Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and passionate Occupational Therapist to join our team in Bloemfontein. In this role, you will provide therapy services to patients, helping them achieve independence in daily activities. Your expertise will guide the development of treatment plans and interventions tailored to individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient progress towards goals and report findings.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to guide therapy interventions.
• Develop group therapy sessions to promote social interaction.
• Assist in administrative tasks related to patient care.
• Create educational materials for patients and families.
• Engage in community outreach to promote occupational therapy services.
• Adapt therapy techniques to accommodate diverse patient needs.
• Stay updated with the latest research in occupational therapy.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Master's degree or relevant postgraduate study preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of clinical experience in an occupational therapy setting

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Sesotho: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with mental health therapies: Knowledge of therapeutic techniques used in mental health settings.
