Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Underwriter to assess and evaluate risks associated with insurance applications while providing tailored coverage solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular reviews of policy terms and recommend necessary updates.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with market trends and regulations.
• Establish strong relationships with insurance agents and policyholders.
• Monitor claims and assess performance to adjust underwriting criteria as needed.
• Contribute to team meetings by sharing insights and strategies for enhancing customer service.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Risk Management, or related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in insurance or underwriting roles

Certifications

• Fellow of the Insurance Institute of South Africa (FIISA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
