Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Pretoria. In this role, you'll assist in the dispensing of medications, manage inventory, and provide exceptional customer service. Your expertise will play a critical role in ensuring patient safety and adherence to medication regimens.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescribed medications to patients in a timely manner.
• Provide education to patients about their medications.
• Ensure all prescriptions are accurately filled and properly labeled.
• Participate in inventory management and control.
• Support the pharmacist in clinical services and screening.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development.

Requirements

Education

• National Certificate in Pharmacy or related field

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a clinical pharmacy setting

Certifications

• Certification from the South African Pharmacy Council

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS): Trained in providing basic life support in emergency situations.
• Experience in patient counselling: Ability to provide meaningful drug utilization education to patients.
