Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning, designing, and overseeing various civil engineering projects, ensuring they adhere to regulatory standards and are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed civil engineering designs and documentation.
• Review and approve contractor submissions and shop drawings.
• Ensure that projects comply with local, provincial, and national regulations.
• Lead inspections and quality control checks during construction.
• Negotiate project specifications with clients and service providers.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and interns.
• Research and propose innovative solutions to engineering challenges.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals and tender submissions.
• Participate in project planning and risk assessment.
• Engage in continuous professional development and training.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering
