We are in search of a talented Chemical Engineer to join our innovative team in Cape Town. As a key player in our organization, you will be responsible for designing processes and optimizing chemical production, ensuring safety and sustainability in all operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and scale up processes from lab to production.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the workplace.
• Collaborate with R&D to innovate and troubleshoot products.
• Prepare and deliver presentations on project updates to stakeholders.
• Maintain and improve documentation for chemical processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
• Certification in Six Sigma or equivalent is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the chemical engineering sector

Technical Skills

• Chemical Process Simulation
• Environmental Compliance

Soft Skills

• Effective Communication
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Certified Six Sigma Black Belt
• Lean Manufacturing Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in polymer engineering: Knowledge of polymer processes and materials.
• Participation in process safety audits: Involvement in process safety audits for compliance and best practices.
