Job Description

Join our dynamic public health team as an Epidemiologist in Pretoria. You’ll be responsible for data collection and interpretation, implementing health programs, and liaising with stakeholders to enhance community health initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement epidemiological studies.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret complex health data.
• Remain updated on emerging public health issues.
• Advise on public health strategies based on epidemiological evidence.
• Facilitate training and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Conduct community outreach to raise awareness on public health.
• Work with healthcare providers to improve service delivery.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Epidemiology or Public Health
• PhD is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in the public health sector

• Statistical Analysis

Certifications

• Epidemiology Certification from the South African Health Professions Council

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
