Job Description

We are currently seeking an Interior Decorator to join our dynamic team in Durban. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for aesthetics and a strong ability to design functional and inviting spaces. You will work closely with clients to understand their vision and bring it to life through thoughtful design and creativity.

Responsibilities

• Assess and measure spaces to develop tailored design solutions.
• Draft design plans and visual presentations using design software.
• Select and specify furniture, fabrics, and accessories for projects.
• Coordinate project schedules with contractors and suppliers.
• Evaluate the progress of projects to ensure they align with client expectations.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with design trends and techniques.
• Collaborate with other team members to enhance the overall design process.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Interior Design or Architecture is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in interior design or decoration

Technical Skills

• 3D Visualization
• Sustainability Practices

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Time Management

Certifications

• LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience in Commercial Design: Background in designing commercial interiors for businesses.
