Dobie Man

Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and responsible Dobie Man who will ensure the safety and well-being of dogs in our boarding kennel. This role involves feeding, walking, and caring for the dogs, all while maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure dogs have adequate access to food and water.
• Monitor dogs for any signs of distress or illness.
• Engage in activities to promote socialisation among dogs.
• Keep detailed logs of each dog's behaviour and health.
• Ensure cleanliness of the facility at all times.
• Assist in training and behavioural enrichment activities.
• Interact with pet owners and answer inquiries.
• Maintain a safe environment for both dogs and staff.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss improvements.
• Stay updated on best practices in animal care.

Requirements

Education

• Matric Certificate or Equivalent
• Certificate in Animal Care or related field preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role

Certifications

• Pet First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with administering medication to animals: Familiarity with dosages and types of medication for different breeds.
