Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Information Security Specialist to bolster our cybersecurity team in Johannesburg. Your expertise will guide our strategies to maintain data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements. Ideal candidates will demonstrate proficiency in security technologies and have a proactive mindset to address potential threats.

Responsibilities

• Design and enforce company-wide information security policies.
• Investigate security breaches and incidents promptly.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary.
• Lead initiatives for security technology upgrades.
• Conduct training sessions to promote a security-first culture.
• Assess third-party security risks and compliance.
• Work on project teams to ensure security-by-design principles.
• Assist with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Ensure endpoint protection mechanisms are in place.
• Maintain relationships with stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
• A Master’s degree in the field is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or related domains

Certifications

• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
• ISO 27001 Lead Implementer

Languages

• English: Fluent
