Job Description

We are seeking an IT Support Technician to join our dedicated support team in Johannesburg. The role involves assisting clients with technical issues, managing hardware and software installations, and ensuring smooth IT operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in troubleshooting, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer requests and provide timely solutions.
  • Assist in setting up new IT equipment for employees.
  • Maintain inventory of IT assets and equipment.
  • Update user profiles and permissions in systems.
  • Participate in IT projects and initiatives to improve service delivery.
  • Ensure all IT support inquiries are logged and tracked appropriately.
  • Work closely with vendors for hardware repairs and replacements.
  • Prepare reports on IT support metrics for management.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT
Experience
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in IT support roles

  • Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)

Certifications
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
