Job Description

Join our dynamic accounting team in Cape Town as an Accountant. You will play a key role in the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and audits. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation of month-end/year-end financial procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Provide financial summaries and present to management.
  • Assist in development of accounting systems to improve efficiency.
  • Monitor audit trails and ensure data accuracy.
  • Train and mentor junior accounting staff.
  • Evaluate financial data to inform business decisions.
  • Identify and rectify accounting errors in a timely manner.
  • Streamline financial operations and enhance reporting processes.
  • Assist with implementing new accounting software and technologies.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Master's degree in Accounting is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial analysis
