Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join our dynamic team in Pietermaritzburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing patient consultation, and ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals. Ideal candidates will have a passion for patient care and a strong understanding of pharmacology.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and review patient medication regimens for safety.
  • Conduct immunizations and health screenings.
  • Provide recommendations for over-the-counter medications.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
  • Assist in resolving patient medication issues effectively.
  • Collaborate with insurance providers regarding medication coverage.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
  • Advanced Pharmacy Practice qualification is preferred
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in the community pharmacy is ideal.
