Environmental Scientist

Job Description

We seek an Environmental Scientist with a passion for the environment to join our Cape Town team. You will be responsible for collecting samples, analyzing environmental data, and developing strategies to mitigate negative impacts on local ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement research projects assessing environmental health.
• Prepare detailed reports on environmental assessments and findings.
• Work with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with environmental laws.
• Assist in the preparation of grant proposals for funding environmental projects.
• Conduct workshops and presentations on sustainable environmental practices.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for holistic project approaches.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of previous environmental initiatives.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables in accordance with budget.
• Advocate for environmentally sustainable development.
• Maintain databases of environmental data and research findings.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in environmental consultancy or research
