Job Description

The Tufting Creeler at our Durban facility plays a crucial role in the operation and maintenance of creel machines used for carpet production. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the machine runs efficiently, feeding yarn properly, and troubleshooting any issues that arise to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper operation of tufting machines, focusing on efficiency.
• Load and set yarn correctly on different machine configurations.
• Conduct inspections for quality control before and after production.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues promptly and effectively.
• Assist in training new staff on machine operation and maintenance.
• Maintain detailed logs of production output and machine issues.
• Adhere to company policies regarding safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with supervisors to optimize production schedules.
• Engage in ongoing training for machine operation advancements.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production goals and strategies.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical qualification in textile manufacturing is a plus

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting preferred

Languages
