We're looking for a passionate Bookkeeper based in Port Elizabeth to take charge of financial transactions, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure timely payments. Applied knowledge of accounting principles will be a key asset.
Responsibilities
Maintain and update financial records and assistance with audits.
Prepare monthly financial reports and statements.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare necessary documentation.
Collaborate with external auditors during yearly audits.
Process payroll and manage employee expense reports.
Reconcile bank statements and maintain ledgers.
Provide support and advice on financial issues.
Assist in the creation and management of budgets.
Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Requirements
Education
Diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance
Professional accounting certification is advantageous
Experience
3-5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a corporate environment
