Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of structural design and analysis, and will be responsible for ensuring that our projects meet both the design criteria and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead project meetings to discuss design progression and challenges.
• Develop and maintain relationships with contractors and consultants.
• Implement solutions to complex engineering problems.
• Ensure project timelines and budgets are adhered to.
• Utilize CAD software to create design blueprints and technical drawings.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in the design of structural projects

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Steel and Concrete Design Codes
• Building Information Modeling (BIM)

Soft Skills

• Client Relations
• Adaptability

Certifications

• LEED Accredited Professional
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

• Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects: Proven track record in managing significant engineering projects.
