Cybersecurity Analyst

Job Description

Join our team as a Cybersecurity Analyst where you will play a vital role in safeguarding our digital assets. This position requires a proactive individual who is passionate about security and has a keen eye for detail. You will work closely with our security team to monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security events and alerts to identify potential security incidents.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures.
• Participate in incident response and recovery efforts.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security trends and emerging threats.
• Collaborate with IT teams to enforce security best practices.
• Perform risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Educate employees on cybersecurity awareness and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
• Master's degree in Information Security is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity

Technical Skills

• Threat Analysis
• Firewalls and Network Security

Certifications

• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
• ISO 27001 Lead Implementer

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience with threat modeling and vulnerability management: Knowledgeable in proactive identification of vulnerabilities through threat modeling.
• Knowledge of local regulations and compliance standards: Familiar with South African data protection regulations and their application.
