We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Outdoor Adventure Guide to join our vibrant team in Cape Town. Ideal candidates will have a passion for the outdoors and experience leading adventure activities such as hiking, rock climbing, and kayaking. You will be responsible for ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for our clients while sharing your knowledge of the local environment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate adventure activities while ensuring participant safety.
• Create memorable experiences by engaging clients with nature.
• Maintain outdoor equipment and ensure proper usage.
• Work with team members to enhance the overall guest experience.
• Develop and lead educational workshops about the local environment.
• Gather and analyze client feedback to improve future trips.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Outdoor Education or related field
• Additional certifications in mountaineering or water sports preferred.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in leading outdoor adventures

Technical Skills

• Advanced rock climbing techniques
• Kayaking and boating experience

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Customer service

Certifications

• Advanced Wilderness Guide Certification
• Lifeguard Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience in emergency response: Trained and experienced in emergency management and first response.
• Multi-language abilities: Ability to communicate in multiple languages is a plus.
