Environmental Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Environmental Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science and engineering, enabling them to contribute to impactful projects aimed at promoting sustainability and minimizing environmental impact.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field studies and data collection to assess environmental conditions.
• Implement and manage environmental management systems.
• Engage with governmental bodies on environmental policies and compliance.
• Train staff on environmental best practices and safety protocols.
• Assist in the preparation of grant applications for environmental projects.
• Coordinate with external consultants and contractors for project delivery.
• Research and evaluate new technologies related to environmental engineering.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in environmental consultancy

• Knowledge of Renewable Energy Systems: Familiarity with renewable energy technologies and their environmental impacts.
