Tax Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tax Consultant to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of local tax regulations and a proven track record in tax compliance and advisory services. In this role, you will assist clients with tax planning, reporting, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file corporate tax returns while ensuring adherence to local tax laws.
• Advise clients on tax planning strategies to optimize their tax positions.
• Interface with tax authorities on behalf of clients during audits.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for tax processes and compliance.
• Monitor and assess clients' tax positions and provide proactive recommendations.
• Participate in client meetings to present findings and cultivate strong client relationships.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation
• Professional qualifications such as CIMA or ACCA are a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in tax advisory roles or audit background with strong tax knowledge
