UI Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented UI Designer to join our innovative team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for aesthetics and a mind for user experience, capable of transforming simple concepts into smooth, engaging user interfaces. You will collaborate with developers and other designers to create high-quality, responsive designs.

Responsibilities

• Produce prototypes and high-fidelity mockups to convey design concepts.
• Maintain and improve existing UI systems and components.
• Evaluate and implement new design tools and technologies.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure cohesive product development.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior design team members.
• Analyze user engagement metrics to continuously improve designs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Design or equivalent industry experience

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in user interface design

• Sketch
• InVision

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Effective communication

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in animation software: Familiar with tools like After Effects for interactive design.
• Experience with accessibility guidelines: Knowledge of WCAG standards to enhance usability for all users.
