Interior Designer

Job Description

We're on the lookout for a talented Interior Designer to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating aesthetically pleasing spaces. This role involves designing residential and commercial interiors, collaborating with clients, and managing projects from concept through to completion.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients to understand their vision and needs.
• Prepare and manage project timelines and deliverables.
• Conduct feasibility studies for design proposals.
• Provide expert advice on color schemes, materials, and layouts.
• Assist in the selection of furnishings and fixtures.
• Document all design processes and project changes for transparency.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture
• Master's degree in Interior Design is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in interior design

Technical Skills

• SketchUp
• Lighting Design

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Team Leadership

Certifications

• National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in Commercial Design: Hands-on experience in commercial interior projects is a plus.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Skills in Photoshop and Illustrator to create presentations and visuals.
