Responsibilities

• Oversee the structural design process from initial concept to completion.
• Utilize engineering software for modelling and analysis.
• Assess existing structures for potential upgrades or repairs.
• Ensure all projects adhere to the highest quality standards.
• Coordinate with municipal and regulatory bodies for compliance issues.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with industry trends.
• Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders and clients.
• Assist in the bidding process for new projects.
• Troubleshoot engineering challenges on-site.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering
• Master's degree in Engineering is an asset

Experience

• 5 years of experience in structural design and project management

Technical Skills

• STAAD Pro
• SAP2000

Soft Skills

• Detail-oriented
• Leadership

Certifications

• Certified Structural Engineer (CSE)

Languages

• Afrikaans: Fluent
• English: Fluent
