Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mining Engineer to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the extraction of minerals in a safe and sustainable manner. The role requires a deep understanding of mining processes, engineering principles, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate mine design and production activities to meet operational targets.
  • Conduct regular inspections of mining sites to monitor safety and environmental impact.
  • Liaise with government agencies and stakeholders on compliance issues.
  • Implement innovative mining technologies to improve productivity.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports on mining operations and performance.
  • Support the development of new mining projects from inception to execution.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field
  • Master's degree in Mining Engineering or related field is advantageous
Experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in mining operations
