Civil Engineer

Job Description

As a Civil Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing and executing our engineering projects in Pretoria. You will work closely with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure that all projects are completed to the highest standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the entire civil engineering project lifecycle.
• Analyse survey reports and data to inform project planning.
• Ensure all designs are sustainable and environmentally friendly.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and advise on project solutions.
• Utilize computer-aided design software to create project plans.
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of contractors.
• Prepare and present project proposals to stakeholders.
• Facilitate project meetings to align team progress.
• Ensure high quality and standard compliance throughout project execution.
• Liaise with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in civil engineering projects, with a focus on infrastructure

Technical Skills

• Civil Engineering Software (such as SAP2000)
• Health and Safety Regulations

Soft Skills

Certifications

• Chartered Engineer status (CEng)
• Registered Professional Engineer (Pr Eng)

Languages

• English: Fluent
