Pattern Layout Worker

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Pattern Layout Worker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and modifying patterns for various clothing items while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the production process.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical specifications for garments.
• Develop and adjust patterns based on design specifications.
• Maintain and organize pattern and fabric inventory.
• Collaborate with designers to ensure accuracy and quality in manufacturing.
• Assist in the development of new pattern-making techniques.
• Participate in planning meetings to discuss production schedules.
• Help resolve any issues that arise during the production process.
• Train assistants in proper layout techniques and safety protocols.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Diploma or certificate in fashion or textile design

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in pattern making and layout.

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in CAD software: Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design software for creating patterns.
• Ability to create patterns for various fabrics: Experience in working with a variety of materials and understanding their properties.
