Job Description

As a nurse in our Cape Town facility, you will engage directly with patients and provide vital healthcare services. Your role will involve monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and communicating effectively with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations.
• Support patients in daily living activities as needed.
• Document all patient interactions and care provided.
• Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients.
• Engage in quality improvement activities and initiatives.
• Assist in triaging patients in emergency situations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Registered Nurse (RN) license

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a clinical setting

Technical Skills

• Patient Assessment
• Medication Administration

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Critical Thinking

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience in a specialized nursing field (ICU, ER, etc.): Hands-on experience in Intensive Care or Emergency Room nursing.
• Certification in Nursing Education: A valued asset for mentoring new staff and students.
