Job Description

The Wildlife Biostation Research Ecologist will be responsible for planning, conducting, and supervising impactful research projects aimed at conserving wildlife species and their ecosystems. This position offers an opportunity to significantly contribute to biodiversity preservation efforts.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute research projects to assess wildlife populations and ecosystems.
• Collect and analyze data using various field and laboratory techniques.
• Train and supervise technicians and interns in research methods.
• Write and publish scientific reports and articles in peer-reviewed journals.
• Attend and present research findings at conferences and meetings.
• Collaborate with other scientists and stakeholders in conservation efforts.
• Maintain and operate field equipment and laboratory facilities.
• Ensure compliance with ethical and safety standards for research.
• Contribute to grant applications and fundraising for research.
• Provide education and outreach to the public regarding wildlife conservation.

Requirements

Education

• Master's or Ph.D. degree in Wildlife Ecology, Conservation Biology, or related field

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in conducting wildlife research

Languages

• English: Fluent
