Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinarian to join our passionate team at Local Veterinary Clinic in Cape Town. The successful candidate will provide high-quality medical care to pets, ensuring they receive the best treatment possible.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat animal diseases, injuries, and other conditions.
  • Perform surgical and non-surgical procedures with proficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and guidelines.
  • Offer insights and support for complex medical cases to the team.
  • Engage with pet owners to explain diagnoses and treatment options clearly.
  • Manage emergency cases and provide urgent care when necessary.
  • Support the clinic's goal of enhancing animal health and welfare in the community.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings to discuss cases and clinic operations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment for pets and staff.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
  • Postgraduate qualifications preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in veterinary medicine strongly preferred
