Transmission Forester

Job Description

The Transmission Forester will be responsible for managing and maintaining the transmission network of trees and vegetation. This includes ensuring public safety and reliable electricity supply through effective vegetation management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular assessments of vegetation along transmission lines.
• Develop and implement proactive vegetation management plans.
• Ensure that all operations comply with current safety regulations.
• Maintain precise records of all vegetation management activities.
• Collaborate with different departments to align vegetation management with company goals.
• Stay updated with industry trends and technologies.
• Supervise tree trimming and removal operations ensuring safety.
• Engage with local communities and stakeholders for effective communication.
• Evaluate environmental impact and adjust management plans accordingly.
• Train and mentor team members in best practices for vegetation management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management or related field
• Relevant certifications in project management preferred

Experience

• At least 5 years' experience with experience in the electricity or utility industry preferred.
