Environmental Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Engineer to join our Durban office. The successful candidate will play a key role in assessing environmental impact, developing sustainable practices, and ensuring compliance with environmental legislation. Candidates should have a strong foundation in environmental science and engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Assess environmental risks and mitigation strategies.
• Design public engagement processes for environmental projects.
• Collaborate with local authorities on environmental initiatives.
• Conduct field studies and collect data for analysis.
• Communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support project management activities for environmental initiatives.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns on best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PrEng) certification preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in relevant environmental projects
