Job Description

We are seeking a talented Architect to join our Cape Town team to design and oversee various projects. The ideal candidate will possess a solid grasp of sustainable design principles and creativity in architectural layouts.

Responsibilities

• Create architectural plans and detailed drawings for various projects.
• Collaborate with engineers and other specialists throughout project development.
• Prepare and present design proposals to clients.
• Regularly visit sites to monitor progress and address issues.
• Incorporate sustainable design practices into all projects.
• Oversee and manage project documentation and compliance checks.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture
• Master's degree or equivalent experience is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of practical experience in architecture

Technical Skills

• SketchUp
• Building Codes Compliance

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Critical Thinking

Certifications

• Architectural Registration Examination (ARE) Pass
• Sustainable Building Advisor

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of historic preservation techniques: Experience in preserving and restoring historic buildings.
• Proficiency in BIM technologies: Experience in Building Information Modeling for collaborative project work.
