Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable Occupational Health and Safety Technician to enhance workplace safety across our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing safety protocols, conducting assessments, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site safety inspections and assessments.
• Coordinate safety training programs for employees.
• Evaluate and manage safety equipment compliance.
• Collaborate with management to enhance safety programs.
• Analyze safety data and prepare reports for management.
• Ensure the organization adheres to all relevant health and safety legislation.
• Participate in safety audits and assessments of contractors.
• Lead safety committee meetings and initiatives.
• Provide expert advice on health and safety matters to management.
• Foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

Requirements

Education

• BTech in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
• Additional certifications in safety management are advantageous.

Experience

• Experience in environmental management is highly advantageous

• ISO 45001 Lead Auditor

• Experience in Training Delivery: Proven ability to conduct effective safety training sessions for diverse staff.
